Results Over Rhetoric
I’m running for Long Beach City Council because our community deserves leadership that looks ahead
while staying grounded in the people who live here every day.
I’ve spent years listening to neighbors, families, and small business owners talk about what’s working, what isn’t, and what they hope Long Beach can become. Again and again, I hear the same thing: people want solutions that actually reflect their lived experiences. They want policies that don’t just sound good on paper, but make life better on the ground.
That’s where I come in.
Why I'm Running
Leadership should be measured by outcomes, not intentions.
I believe the best decisions happen when policy is shaped by the people it affects. When leaders take the
time to listen, ask questions, and learn directly from the community, we create outcomes that are more
thoughtful, more effective, and more lasting. That approach isn’t theoretical for me it’s how I’ve always
worked.
Long Beach is growing and changing, and District 1 is at the heart of that transformation. We have an opportunity to build a future that is safer, more affordable, and more inclusive without losing the character and culture that make our community home. Doing that requires leadership that is collaborative, prepared, and willing to stand up for residents over politics.
I’m running because I want to be a voice that brings people together, not one that talks past them. A voice that is curious, compassionate, and committed to progress. And a voice that understands leadership isn’t about having all the answers it’s about asking the right questions and working together to find them.
That’s the future I’m working toward.
That’s why I’m running.
Because Long Beach works best where policy meet people.
Candidate Statement
District 1 is where the decisions made at City Hall show up on our streets. That’s why I’m running for Long Beach City Council.
As a Homeless Services Provider, I have worked on the front lines of Long Beach’s housing crisis, supporting individuals, families, and youth while pushing for systems that move people from instability to stability. I understand how policy affects real lives—and where our city must do better.
As a Small Business Owner, I know the challenges local entrepreneurs face, from rising costs to public safety and quality-of-life concerns. In District 1, downtown businesses have been especially impacted by the rise in homelessness. While homelessness affects the entire city, downtown business owners are feeling it most acutely. We need solutions that restore safety, foot traffic, and confidence—because homelessness and small business are not competing policies; they are connected challenges that require coordinated solutions.
My connections to the community are especially clear in my work with young people. I am the Founder and Executive Director of a state-licensed Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program for at-risk youth in the foster care system, contracted with county social services. This work requires navigating complex systems while delivering real outcomes.
As the creator of SheltrLink, a data-driven platform designed to improve coordination and accountability in homelessness services, I believe that when systems don’t solve problems, they must be rebuilt. I also serve on the Long Beach Continuum of Care for Homelessness and am a member of the National Council of Negro Women, Zeta Amicae, Long Beach Chapter, and the Association of Latino Professionals for America.
I am also a mother and community advocate committed to practical solutions and a District 1 where families thrive, businesses grow, and everyone has a fair chance at stability.
